This Student Union houses all non-academic functions in one location, including food services/dining, bookstore, convenience store and cyber cafe/multipurpose room. Miramar College is known historically as a commuter campus; the Student Union encourages students to stay and be more engaged in their educational experience.

Once the former Beall Avenue School (built in 1901) that was later repurposed as Wooster College’s Gault Family Learning Center has been transformed into student housing. The Gault Schoolhouse design incorporates apartment and suite-style accommodations.
Historically a small commuter campus, University of Arkansas at Fort Smith was growing. As part of a 2020 Campus Plan, the University had an immediate need for a 450-bed residence hall and a 230-seat dining facility.
On a recent trip to Italy, my husband and I were sitting in a café in Rome. He reminded me of a funny scene in the movie, “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” (the mere mention of which inevitably starts my husband laughing hysterically).
In the scene, Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell) and Veronica Corningstone (played by Christina Applegate) are having dinner in a restaurant. Veronica notices that some of the other patrons are smoking and decides she’ll do the same, saying, “When in Rome….” Although Ron doesn’t know what the quote means, he nonetheless uses it throughout the movie completely out of context.
